Amuro Namie

Not much problem with this piece as Namie is one of my favourite j-pop stars

Van Tomiko

One of the most difficult pieces I’ve drawn. Very difficult to capture Tomiko’s features. But I think I did well, right, Ban-chan?

Ueto Aya

One of my quickest piece, but somehow it still turned out pretty good!

Matsuura Aya

One of my earlier portrait of a Japanese idol, Matsuura Aya. Even though I was copying from a picture, I found it was an extremely difficult piece, as it took me a long time to get the angle of the face. I wonder what she would think??

Catherine

From: Pocket Watch

My first manga creation. This was very exciting for me. I wanted a dreamy and mischievous feel, and experimented particularly with the eyes and hair. It took a little while to come up with this, but I really enjoyed the whole process.

Anton

From: Pocket Watch

My second manga creation. This was a lot more difficult, as it was my first attempt at drawing a male character. Here, I was after a thinker, passionate but (ultra) reserved type of character. I also wanted someone who would complement Catherine. It took several attempts to finally come up with something I am happy with. Also another interesting process.

Faery Girl

This piece I drew when I had a surge of inspiration. I wanted to bring out a more mystical feel so I decided to draw the hair this way and make her turn around. I am very happy with this piece, definitely one of my favourites :-D

D-girl

I was so inspired with Beebee’s shading techniques that I decided to have a go at it and did this portrait. It was done with a 0.7 pacer.
