Introduction
Maria-sama ga Miteru ~ the virgin mary watches over you
During one of my google ramblings, I came across this page, which turned out to be an Okazu blog entry. Near the end, Erica wrote:
Masako-san and I discussed very profound things like squid and Marimite - and she confirmed what we all know: Saying Sei is your favorite character is like saying the sky is blue.

This classic Sean Gaffney quote got me wondering who Sei could possibly be. Upon further googling, I ended up at the Lililicious website. I downloaded the few manga chapters of Marimite, and lo and behold, there was Sei *squee* … although I didn’t get to really appreciate Sei until I watched the anime.

Maria-sama ga Miteru has claimed a special place in my heart. The elegant world of Lillian introduced me to many charismatic characters. The depth and refinement of each and every one of these personalities make this series stand out. In particular, the emotions touched within the stories are so diverse and vibrant, that to a usually emotionless person like me it made a lasting impression.
In striving to find out more about Marimite, I came across many fans who were talented and, dare I say, romantic.
If you’re looking for reviews, there are plenty at Okazu Notes. However, the best way to enjoy Marimite is to experience it yourself, so without further ado…
